Circumcision in the Bible: Colossians 2:11-12
Circumcision was practiced throughout the history of Israel as a symbol of belonging to God. In the New Testament, with the death and resurrection of Christ, we no longer need such a physical symbol, because Christ marks us spiritually as his own.
