Redemption in the Bible: Colossians 1:13-14
Redemption is simply the forgiveness of our sins, and restoration to a relationship with God. Through his sacrifice, Jesus redeemed us and brought us into the kingdom of God, rescuing us from the kingdom of sin and darkness.

Paralytic in the Bible - a Christian perspective
In this passage Jesus heals a paralytic in front of a large crowd. The paralytic was lowered into the room where Jesus was teaching through the ceiling. His faith impressed Jesus.

Slave to sin - a Christian perspective
Paul asks us facetiously in Romans if we should continue to be slaves to sin so that God's grace might abound. The logic is that if we sin more God has more to forgive. Q.E.D. God would be more merciful. However, since we are now dead to sin and no longer its slave we should instead strive for righteousness.
