Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman - a Christian perspective
In this passage, Jesus heals a crippled woman on the sabbath. The religious leaders are incensed by this and tell Jesus that he can only heal during the rest of the week. He takes them to task and asks them if give water to their animals on the sabbath. If so, why shouldn't a woman who has spent 18 years in infirmity be healed on the sabbath. They're humiliated and the people are delighted.
