Groanings in the Bible - a Christian perspective
We have an advocate before God, speaking to God on our behalf. This passage says that the Holy Spirit's interceding work is indescribable to human--"groanings" that human minds and voices cannot comprehend.

Intercedes - a Christian perspective
When we are weak, it is then that we are strong. Paul tells us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us in our weakness when we don't even know how to pray. When the Spirit intercedes it does so with groans that can't be expressed in words.
