"Joint heirs" in the Bible: Romans 8:17
In Romans, we are told that we are joint heirs in the inheritance of Christ. It's important to remember that the other part of this verse says that we if we share in his--meaning Jesus'--suffering we can also share in his glory. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
