Hug Them Tightly, But Hold Them Loosely - #6529
It's so easy to let our children become an extension of our ego, our hopes, our dreams rather than letting them simply be God's servants. Maybe you even have a child God is calling into His service and you're kind of standing in the way. We just dare not forget that our children are God's property trusted to us. We dare not hijack them from His service to be in ours.

The Most Special People On Earth - #6457
Children teach us something about openness, simplicity, humility, and faith. They help us unmask and they are soft cement that can still be written on. They're so important! They're a life to be shaped. Take stock of who gets your best attention and remember that Jesus thinks the children are some of the most special people on earth.

Security Checks for Families - #5827
A selfish husband, a defiant wife, a rebellious child, a frustrating parent: they each bring things onto your family's flight that can bring it down. But we each can do our part to make our home a safe place to be, where people are built up, not torn down. We each have a position to play to bring love and encouragement and respect to the other members of our family whether they're doing it or not. Be sure you're not bringing things aboard that can hijack your family's happiness.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - What You Bring in the Door - #5644
In many ways you set a tone when you walk in the door and you'll probably have to live with that tone for hours to come. After a stressful day it's just human nature to walk in with a pretty self-focused mind set, carrying the garbage of the day, which we then proceed to dump all over our loved ones! But, wouldn't you like to put your name in our word for today? "________ returned home to bless his or her family."

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Parent Power - #4648
You tell them that you believe in them. Our kids need to know that. As a dad or a mom, we need to see the good points in our kids and praise them as often as we can for those good points. Express what we see in terms of their potential - what they could be. Not just their strong abilities, but their strong qualities like gentleness, and sensitivity, and leadership, a sense of humor, compassion.
