Jesus had to fight against the people's will to make him king. In this passage the people call him a prophet and Jesus was wary that they were going to try to instate him as King by force.

Jehu in the Bible - a Christian perspective
When Jehu was given the kingship over Israel he was told to destroy the house of Ahab. Someone from the company of prophets went to him, called him away from his companions and anointed him king. He returned to his army officials and they recognized him as king.
