Breaking Rules, Saving Lives - #6525
Rescuing? It always means risking, including the misunderstanding, the criticism of people who love the "rules" but aren't reaching the lost. Jesus knows about that. Remember? Yeah, He made the "rules people" very uncomfortable. So they crucified Him, and we were saved.

We should be outraged! We've allowed Jesus' cross to be stolen from the center of our hearts, and our ministries, and our conversations. "The message of the cross," 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, "is...the power of God." I need to be as passionate about elevating that cross as the world and the devil are about eliminating it.

Usability - the key to helping and keeping site visitors
It is sad but true, that very many websites fall down in the area of usability. Because the site designers knows their sites backwards, they fail to appreciate that a first-time visitor will see things very differently. It’s like visiting a new city as a tourist, rather than being a native dweller!

The List Your Name is On - #6115
Believing in God's Son, Jesus, can literally change which list we're on. When the Bible says "believe," the word is about total trust, complete reliance. And only total trust in Jesus can rescue us from our spiritual death penalty, because only Jesus could and only Jesus did die in our place. He said, "I will take their hell, Father, so they don't ever have to go there." He did that for you. That's how much He loves you.

Which List Is Your Name On? - #6001
One thing is very clear. Which list your name is on depends totally on your personal response to Jesus Christ. That's because He's the One that God sent to rescue us from the death penalty of all the things we've done wrong. Nobody else died in our place, so nobody else can save us. We tend to divide people up by what class they're in, what race they are, what religion they're from. But God only sees two kinds of people: saved and lost.

The church you're in, the ministry you're in - is it committed to saving lives on the stretch of the beach around you, or just feeding and comforting the life-saving crew? If your ministry, your church, your Bible study isn't about rescuing those who will die otherwise, you may need to do a quick heart exam. Do you have the heart of your Savior who said His reason for coming was to seek and to rescue the lost?

You may think there's someone better to rescue the people around you, but God put you in the middle of them. This is your stretch of the beach. The people there are your responsibility. Don't leave your beach unguarded. Too many people are dying at unguarded beaches.

People Jesus died for so they could be rescued from all this - people who may never know Jesus unless you introduce them to Him. He has positioned you in their life to be their rescuer. Once you see what Jesus sees, you'll rescue the dying, whatever it takes!
