Meant for evil - a Christian perspective
One of the wonders of God's power is that He often takes events and actions that were intended for evil, and turns them around to have a good result. In this story, Joseph's brothers beat him and sold him into slavery... but God took even that horrific turn of events, and used it to produce something good in Joseph's life.
