Nets in the Bible: Luke 5:1-11
When Jesus first went to call his disciples he didn't go to the temple or the courts to find the most worldly spiritual or learned men, he went to the Lake of Gennesaret and called out to some fishermen. After watching them struggle with their empty nets, he told them to cast again on the other side and their nets overflowed with fish. Jesus then told them they would now be fishers of men.
