Expected in the Bible - a Christian perspective
God has a plan for each of us, one meant to bring us to a good and expected purpose. We can trust that God is in control even when our lives feel out of control to us.

"Prosper" in the Bible: Jeremiah 29:11
These words of comfort were originally spoken to the Israelites living in exile in Babylon. God assured them that despite their present difficulties, He had plans for them--plans for them to prosper and be restored. We don't share that historical context, but God's promise remains: He knows of our struggles and is working to help us prosper, even when we can't see it.

"The plans" in the Bible: Jeremiah 19:11
God tells Jeremiah to tell the exiled Israelites that He has a plan for them--that he has a plan to prosper them and give them hope and a future.

Bill Murray is a cynical newsman who has a strange experience as he’s covering the event. He keeps reliving the same day over and over again—Groundhog Day. It drives him crazy, but ultimately it changes his life.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Stubborn Heifers - #5606
A farmer has to put cumbersome yokes and sometimes painful constraints on a stubborn one. And that may explain why life has been so difficult for you, why there's been so much grief. It's unnecessary grief - grief because you simply will not do it God's way. You insist on your way - your outcome - your timetable. In certain areas of your life or your personality, you just have your mind made up how it's going to be and you're determined that not even God is going to make you change or move.

Dying to Ambition ~ Sparks
Well, the answer to that question will decide whether, in relation to God, we have ambitions for something on the earth. Do you get the point? You see, it is so possible to swing over your natural ambitions to spiritual aims.
