Why It Doesn't Have To Be the Way It's Always Been - #5967
As surely as physical family resemblances get passed on from one generation to another, so do family flaws, family sins, family baggage. Except for the miracle that makes it possible for one person to say, "It stops here. I'm not going to be another one in that same old line. I'm going to be the first one in a brand new line in our family!"

The Avalanche Zone - #5947
The ultimate outcome of our sin will inevitably be death, the death of our self-respect, of relationships, of people's trust, our reputation, but worst of all, our eternal separation from our God in a place Jesus called hell. But the dying for your sin has already been done by Jesus Christ.

Holy Hunger - #5937
ince you're farther along the line than most of the people with you, you've stopped where you are. But there is so much more God wants to serve you than you have ever sampled before. Don't be satisfied with where you are now. You go after food when you're physically hungry. Ask God to stir up that holy hunger in your soul that goes after the rest of His righteousness.

Heavy On the Healthy Stuff - #5936
Crushing Satan under your feet; that's a war on two fronts. You have to be against what's bad getting into your system, but that isn't enough. You have to take daily opportunities to become smarter about what is innocent. Cut the damaging stuff out of your heart-diet and go heavy on the healthy stuff!

Values - a Christian perspective
What do you value? Do you value physical wealth and possessions, that will ultimately decay and fade away? Or do you value spiritual truth, which will bring you eternal life?

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - The Good Side of Not Having Much - #8287 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
Jack had been my best friend in high school, and now he was a very successful airline pilot. And his wife had a great job with the airline, too. Their brand new Cadillac was parked in a security garage under their exclusive apartment in New York City. We had a great evening when they invited us for dinner. So, we invited them to visit us at our totally not-exclusive apartment in a very modest New Jersey suburb. The problem was that about every ten minutes Jack would get up all worried and keep looking out the window. Finally, I figured out what he was doing. He was checking to be sure his new Cadillac–which was parked on the street–was still there. I thought: “I’m not sure if Jack owns his car, or his car owns him.

When the Ship is Out of Control - #2644
Something in your life that is stressful, maybe in trouble, something that is getting out of control and that could even go aground. This is no time for panic, this is a time for right priorities. Protect the people from getting hurt. What happens to the ship is not nearly as important as what happens to the people.

Someone Else's Fault - #5913
Maybe you've honestly been hurt or wronged, and you can't do anything about the other person taking responsibility for what they've done. But you can accept the responsibility for the way you've handled it, for the wrong things you may have tried to excuse by the wrong things someone else did. Those who have been victims - and those who've been victimizers - never get free until they realize that they are now the victims of their own choices, not someone else's.

Head and not the tail - a Christian perspective
God should be the first priority in our life, directing all of our actions and thoughts. God can't be a mere afterthought to tend to after we've gone out and pursued our own selfish desires.

The Cleanup Imperative - #5894
God is not impressed with your abilities, with your great résumé, with your connections, your education, or your credentials. He doesn't care about your cash. He doesn't care about your charisma. All He cares about is your character! He is looking for clean! Getting rid of the dirt, staying clean, that is how you qualify to be an instrument in the hands of Almighty God.
