A Holy Dare
More than a hundred years ago, a British revivalist issued a holy dare that would change a life, a city, and a generation. That timeless challenge echoes across every generation: The world has yet to see what God will do with and for and through and in and by the man who is fully and wholly consecrated to […]
Your Line in the Sand - #6150
Are you going to stay where it's "safe," hiding Jesus behind you? Or are you going to cross the line and join the heroes who say, "I'll tell them about Jesus, whatever it costs." The people who think nothing of Jesus aren't ashamed to freely speak His name in disrespect. What about you; someone whose life, whose eternity has been changed by Jesus? Will you talk about Him because you love Him and because they need Him? Or will you be ashamed of Jesus? On that brutal cross, Jesus was not ashamed of you.
The Missing Messenger - #6146
Blood on our hands because of the silence of our lips. Don't let that happen to you or to the people God is counting on you to tell about His Son. Whatever fear of what might happen if you told them about Jesus, could it possibly be as fearful as what will happen if you don't tell them?
The Good News About a Cold Season - #6124
If it's cold right now, if it's dark right now, don't let discouragement win. Don't let bitterness or resentment or resignation ruin the greater plan God is working on. The question to ask in times like these isn't, "Why, God?" You may not have that answer till you get to heaven. The better question is, "How can You use this, God?" He really does "...work all things together for the good of those who love God" (Romans 8:28 ).
The Healing Power of Making a Difference - #6117
Maybe it's time for you to think more about "giving your life away" - about a mission you could become involved in. You may have some very real limitations, and hurts, and handicaps. But there is someone you can help with what you know; whether it's in person, through letters, or emails, with the phone, at least you can tell them about your Jesus and help take them to heaven with you.
The Beacon from the Graveyard - #6099
Today, Jesus is counting on you to light the fire for the people in your world. They can't see Jesus, but they can see you. Tell them that He died for them. Tell them He's alive for them. Don't let the fire die in your hands. Don't let them die without a chance at Jesus.
When the Lid Comes Off Your Life - #6096
When you get Jesus, you plug into the plan you were made for; you get heaven's direction for your decisions; you get inexhaustible, "unloseable" love; you get God's grace to help you weather every crisis; you have someone who's bigger than every challenge that's bigger than you are.
Obsessed With Driving - #6082
You'll have to abandon trusting in yourself to let go and trust the Man who died and rose again for you. If you insist on hanging onto the wheel of your life, you will ultimately drive it over the cliff of an eternity away from God. And if you've got a family or people who follow you, you may even take others with you.
No Life Without the Source - #6065
"iniquities" are made up of every time you and I have done things the way we wanted to do it instead of God's way. Over a lifetime, it's impossible to add all those up. But each sin, each "me first" choice, has put another brick in the wall.
The Joy of Telling - #6051
what you know about Jesus is their only hope of ever being in heaven with you someday! You need to tell about Jesus. They need to hear about Jesus, because you need to talk about the greatest love of your life. And they need to hear about the one who loves them more than anyone. You tell them about how much He loves you. Sooner or later, they'll want to meet Him.
