Heroes On the Beach - #6803
Maybe all your friends are Christian friends. Maybe all your free time is spent in Christian places, and yet you are surrounded by people whose lives are breaking apart like those ships long ago, who will die without Christ; who will spend eternity without Christ unless there is a Rescuer. And they won't come to the Life-Saving Station. You have to go where they are and bring them back like Jesus did.

A Light In Titanic's Dark Night - #6649
You know, in a sense, we're all passengers on a ship that's going down. And those of us who've been saved by Jesus know how the people around us can be saved, too. And if we tell them, as John Harper said. For them, "it will be beautiful in the morning."

The Captain and the Crash - #6561
Jesus didn't risk His life to save me; He gave it, and He did it for you too. The day you surrender the wheel to Captain Jesus, is the day you'll start heading the direction you were made for. And the people who sail with you - all the people you love - will finally be safe.

The "Man With the Red Bandana" - #6523
Welles Crowther's father said, "His last hour was his legacy." Well, Jesus' last hour, when He was on that cross and chose to be cut off from God so we would never have to be, that was His legacy. And with a very full heart, I can tell you, I'm part of that legacy, and you can be too.

Packing Up Christmas - #6507
Because Jesus is alive, because He wanted out of His grave after He died for you, He can walk right into your life upon your invitation. What a day this would be right here in the season we celebrate His coming to this world He could come into your life. Tell Him that today; pray that way to Him today.

Escaping the Flood, Or Not - #6435
It's eternally important that you answer the door and let Jesus save you. The Bible cries out, "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart" (Hebrews 4:7 ).

Obsessed With Driving - #6082
You'll have to abandon trusting in yourself to let go and trust the Man who died and rose again for you. If you insist on hanging onto the wheel of your life, you will ultimately drive it over the cliff of an eternity away from God. And if you've got a family or people who follow you, you may even take others with you.

How Nice People Miss Heaven - #6031
Jesus died to cancel from God's records every sin of every day of your life; erased by the blood He shed for those sins.

A Heart Like His - #5946
The church you're in, the ministry you're in - is it committed to saving lives on the stretch of the beach around you, or just feeding and comforting the life-saving crew? If your ministry, your church, your Bible study isn't about rescuing those who will die otherwise, you may need to do a quick heart exam. Do you have the heart of your Savior who said His reason for coming was to seek and to rescue the lost?

Everyday Heroes - #3517
An everyday person becomes a hero when he or she leaves where it's safe to rescue someone who's dying, and you've been positioned by God to do just that. Don't stay on the riverbank. Jump into the water and bring out someone you care about. There's a life at stake - forever.
