Running in the Bible - a Christian perspective
In Paul's first letter to the Corinthians he writes about how we're all running a race. We are running to receive a crown of life that is worth far more than an earthy crown. He says he does not train aimlessly, but rather does everything to master his body.

Paul likens our spiritual walk with the metaphor of running a race. In Galatins chapter 5 he asks the Galatians why they stopped obeying the truth, "who cut in on you?" he pleads.
