When the people we're talking to refuse to accept the Gospel, we aren't to get upset, but merely to move on to the next opportunity. Ultimately, it is God and not us who triggers change in people's hearts.

Shoes in the Bible - a Christian perspective
In this verse Ezekiel writes that God has clothed and shod Israel in finery. In the Biblical era people wore sandals. Shoes and other footwear hadn't been explored as they have these days. In fact, many people probably went barefoot most of the time. Giving someone sandals and clothes in general was an extremely gracious thing to do.
