Tax in the Bible: Matthew 17:24-27
Once, Jesus was asked to pay the temple tax. He asked Peter if it was the sons of rulers or others who traditionally paid taxes. Peter replied that it was the others who paid the tax. Jesus said that despite the fact that they were sons they would pay the tax and sent Peter to catch a fish telling him that it would have enough payment inside it for both of them.
