Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - A Brand New Daddy - #8297 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
Little Scotty really wanted to play with his dad, and his dad really wanted to read his massive Sunday paper. Well, Scotty kept tapping on the newspaper, and finally Scotty’s dad had an idea: he tore out a page of the paper that had a map of the world. He tore it into puzzle pieces and he said, “As soon as you put this picture together, I’ll play with you.” Two minutes later his son shows up with the picture together. He said, “Scotty, how did you put this picture of the whole world together so fast?” He said, “Daddy, it was easy. There was a picture of a man on the other side. If you put the man together right, the world goes together just fine.”

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Every Dad's a Builder - #8296 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
In the course of our ministry on Indian reservations, we met a precious grandmother who told us a memorable story. Her grandmother had been forced out of the village she lived in because she gave her heart to Christ. That meant her grandfather had to build a house down in the valley below the village, and here’s how he did it. Each day as he returned from work, he’d pick up a big rock and bring it home to help build that house.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - How to Go Everywhere with Your Kids - #8292 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
Our daughter isn’t afraid to tackle a real parenting challenge, like teaching an eight-year-old boy the value of writing thank you notes for gifts he receives. That’s exactly what she’s been doing with our grandson. And while they were writing those notes, she said, “How are you going to remember to do this when I’m not around?” And he said, “The voice inside me that sounds like you.”

"Rebuke" in the Bible: 2 Timothy 4:2
We usually think of a rebuke as a bad thing, but when it's used in love to put somebody on the correct path, it can be a blessing to them.

Crowd in the Bible - a Christian perspective
Jesus was seemingly swarmed by crowds of people wherever he went. This often lead to some interesting teaching spots. This episode had him teaching from off-shore on a little boat.

Admonish - a Christian perspective
In Colossians, Paul writes that we should admonish and teach one another through the psalms and songs. We should sing hymns with grace in our hearts.

"Teach" in the Bible: James 3:1
The Bible holds teachers in high esteem, as seen by the high standards it requires of people who are in teaching and leadership positions.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Thanksgiving-Terrible Turkeys - #8150
There’s one way to avoid being a turkey spiritually. Don’t give God what you don’t really need or don’t really want anyway. Some Old Testament folks already tried that.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - A Sunrise, Sunset Savior - #8146
During praise and worship, we were led in singing that great old hymn, “It Is Well with My Soul”. The verses talk about “when sorrows like sea billows roll…whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, ‘it is well with my soul.’” I glanced over at that precious lady with Alzheimer’s who had appeared pretty unresponsive most of the weekend. Her lips were moving. She was mouthing those words! ”It is well, it is well with my soul.” It was hard for me to sing after that. Then she mouthed the words to the next song, ”My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine…If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now”. What a testimony to the kind of Savior we have. He’s our sunrise Savior, early in our life. He’s our sunset Savior when the darkness is closing in, and through every hour in between.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Killer Storm - #8145
Most of my life I have been trying to be a messenger of a warning that God has given to all of us—a killer storm that we cannot escape. ”Man is destined to die once,” the Bible says, “and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). Because we’ve all broken God’s laws and we’ve hijacked the running of our lives. We all face the storm of God’s judgment—certain spiritual death—unless we get out in time through the escape route God Himself provided.
