A hill in Jerusalem where God's temple was built. Sometimes Zion or Daughter of Zion is used to refer to the whole city of Jerusalem, or to the people of God. Zion came to refer broadly to the place where God will rule over his new creation.

Bible Concordance :: Temple
A building where people worship divine beings. God told Israel to build him a temple and worship him there. God showed his people that he was with them by being present in the temple. In the New Testament, we learn that the new temple is not a building. God's people are now the temple of God.
