Shepherd in the Bible: Psalm 23:1
Calling God our shepherd means much more than putting us in a servant's role. No, the shepherd is responsible for all of the needs and wants of his flock. When the Psalmist declares that with the Lord as his shepherd he shall not be in want, he's saying that God is protecting and leading him in all things.
