Lord's Prayer in the Bible: Matthew 6:9-13
When asked to demonstrate how we should pray, Jesus prayed what has been called the Lord's Prayer. It's a simple prayer that expresses gratitude to God for His blessings and asks for His protection as we go through our day.

Not my will - a Christian perspective
Even on the eve of his death, Jesus was willing to submit himself to what was going to happen, if it was God's will for him to do so. Jesus' prayer here demonstrates that it's permissible to ask God to change or remove problems in your life, but we should always be prepared to accept them if it's God's will for us.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
