  1. Campbell says:

I began tithing in one of the worse finaancial times of my life because a minister came to my church and spoke about it. I remember starting that day. I am unable to tithe now because of several misfortunes. Some one pulled a gun on me in the classroom several years ago, my husband’s health and behavior got worse and he refused to turn around. We are no longer together. I do not receive enough money to pay the bills and feed every one but I still have a roof over our heads.

My brother got sick and lost his job.He and his wife separated and he and his child have come to live with me. I am without transportation right now but I thank God every day for life and his love.

I have prayer and bible study every Tuesday night because I want people to know we must rejoice in our trials and tribulations and that God is our answer to every situation.God knows my circumstances and I know he working on my behalf. I know I must give of my time, talent and money and I am glad to do so.

Praise the Lord!God’s word is true.

  2. roniross says:

It rains on the just the same as the unjust I have always hard….One day we will know all the answers to life’s detours and disappointments we all face, either that or it won’t matter anymore once we meet our Savoir in heaven.

Because of prayer and a simple request I made to my God when the love of my life passed from cancer recently was: Lord I can’t do this on my own, I need you to help me, I know not what to do. I so have become stronger, and feel God’s love wrapped around me ver so tightly. The love of His children praying for me has given me strength I never knew I could have, having always dependent on my husband to do things for me….RR

    Dear Campbell

I believe that tithing can do so much more for you that what you believe. Don’t tithe because a minister said so, because no minister can give you what God can give you. My point is, tithe because God said so. If you do what God says, you can remind Him of what He promises to do when you do it because God does not lie. Read Malachi 3:10 – 12. The benefits cover all areas of life incl health, family etc – and you will be surprised at what God will do in your situation. I started to tithe when I was a full-time student on the money I used to get and have been tithing ever since – and don’t regret 1 day. It hurts sometimes but it is worth it because I have seen the benefits first hand. I commend you for serving God the way you do – continue to do so because tithing without the love of God in our hearts and lives is useless and unacceptable to God(Matthew 23:23).

    God bless you…

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
