I just wanted to know what the scripture means that states you are bad as an infdel if you do not take care of you family.
    Thanks,
JAne and also is that the scripture 1TImothy 4:8?

  3. Obim says:

I think what the text means is that as Christians we are expected to be known for peculiar behaviors. one of such is to take care of your family. so any one who doesn’t do so will be regarded as an unbeliever (infidel)and even worse because every one has a civic responsibility to keep his family in good shape. so if every one has to keep his family how much more a believer? it is not enough to acclaim one self as a believer you know? The text is 1 Timothy 5:8

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
