"Seek my face" in the Bible: 2 Chronicles 7:14

Seeking the face of God means to actively look for God in all aspects of life. We are to humble ourselves, to pray and to turn away from our wicked ways in our pursuit of God's face. Through this we will be forgiven.

With such sickness in the world, and as much despair, why are we not being healed, why are we not living better as humans? Why is the land even sick now (spread of diseases over our animals, food, plants… even us). None of the things in this passage are happening, why not, is God a liar, or are we NOT turning to seek Him. What does it mean to “turn from [our] wicked ways”, which way are we supposed to turn to, if we aren’t supposed to follow the direction and instruction He has laid out in His Book of Wisdom i.e. (The Scriptures). I hear of it said we are supposed to SPIRITUALLY follow Gods commandments but not literally, for that would be “works” and not faith. Ok we do that, now what, the world is still sick and dying and so are we. Why don’t we try “actually” following Gods Word and quit trying a play on words, with His Word. What I mean is this, we are going astray from God, as we cannot follow Christ, without following in His footsteps so we cannot obey God, without obeying His Word. In the wisdom God gave Him Paul says in Romans 6:16, either we follow Him or we are following another:

“16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?“
I know who I’m going to FOLLOW, how about you?

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
