Jesus casts demons out of a possessed man and into a nearby herd of pigs. The pigs--considered unclean in the Jewish tradition--plunged off of a nearby cliff.

Why did so many demons(2,000) enter the man?
I BELIEVE it happened not so much for the sake of what the man did,or it was not stated, but in order to show us the love,caring and power that Jesus Christ has for us and his total control over all things that may take possession of us or hinder us as humans. There is no limit to what he will and can do for us, whether it be to help a blind man to see that was blind from birth, or to remove the 2,000 demons from within a man. The amount is only large in our perspective, not in the eyes of Christ.Be confident and know and believe that Jesus Christ has ALL POWER TO HEAL AND RESTORE ALL THINGS. HE IS NOT JUST (SOME) MIGHTY, HE IS ALL MIGHTY. Praise God.
What then?? What happened to the demons in the swine?.Where did they go once the swine were dead?.
