Ungodly in the Bible - a Christian perspective

God takes wickedness and righteousness very seriously, as described in this passage. God did not hesitate to punish those who deserved it; but He also acted decisively to save those He loved. We can trust that God knows what He's doing when He offers free salvation to us.

  1. BE says:

I have heard many times that because God is holy, He cannot look on sin, and that He sees only Jesus’ righteousness in us that Jesus imparted to us when he died for our sins. If this is accurate, how is it that God sees our sins, knowing everything we think and do? I cannot find scripture that says God can’t look on sin. Thank you for your help.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
