"Yoke" in the Bible: Matthew 11:28-30

Christianity has an unfortunate reputation for burdening people with moral guilt and long lists of rules and laws to follow. But this couldn't be further from the truth: as Jesus himself says here, taking up the "burden" of Christ is much simpler and easier than struggling under the weight of sin and worldly concerns.

I believe that God doesn’t put no stress on us to serve him because he doesn’t have respect of person regardless of our race, gender, culture, belief etc. He says whosoever will let him come. Sometimes we ties the hands of God because of our disobedience. I believe this yoke he’s talking about is his word because its another scripture in the Bible that says to study to show thy self approve and to rightly divide the word of truth a workman not to be put to shame. This means that God is going to equip you with the tools to deal with every trial you face and he won’t embarress you because he loves you by telling you the truth. Min. Jennifer Seymore

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
