What is the Gospel? Paul reminds us here of the basic truth of the Gospel: that Jesus died for our sins in fulfillment of God's plan through the ages.

  1. Garyspear says:

I trust in God’s grace. I believe that is the good news, that through the death and ressurection of Christ I am saved. But recently a brother told me that there are several gospels according to God’s dispensations. He said that if I quote scripture from Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, then I am preaching the kingdom gospel which is not the gospel Paul preached, so I am cursed for preaching a different gospel.
Can you clarify this for me.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
