Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Squeezed To Obey - #4353
Our word for today from the Word of God begins with Jesus' parting instructions to His followers in Acts 1:8. "You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Now, guess which part of that they liked best? Right. Jerusalem. That was home. That was the familiar. I'm not sure they would have ever gotten beyond Jerusalem unless they were pushed, unless they were squeezed to go.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - A Leader's Real Assignment - #4377
The first portrait of Jesus I can ever remember seeing as a child was one that portrays Him as the Good Shepherd, with His sheep following Him closely and one little lamb cuddled in His arms. Interestingly enough, now that I'm in Christian leadership, I realize that picture is supposed to be what I'm about. And you, too, if God has entrusted you with any kind of influence or direction in people's lives. You're template is supposed to be that of a shepherd - of whom people say, "He or she sure makes a person feel loved."

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Choosing Your Battles - #4200
Throughout military history, victories have been won because someone knew which battle was worth fighting and which battleground was best to fight on. It might be an important part of whether or not you'll win in some of the battles you're fighting in right now - as a parent, in your work, in keeping people together, or in your church.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Sweet and Sour Strategy - #4247
When it comes to eating, sweet and sour can be great together. When it comes to the business of leading and shaping peoples' lives, it's that combination that can lead to some very positive results. It takes some sweet and it takes some sour to change people.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Poison Protection - #4265
Something like TV Guardian was invented for parents who realize a very important assignment that they have - to protect their children from anything that could harm them. Of course, a parent is going to protect their son or daughter from physical harm - like getting too close to the edge of a cliff or running onto the Interstate. But Mom and Dad have no less a responsibility for protecting their kids from things that can hurt their soul. And there's a lot of soul poison out there.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Milestones and Manure - #4122
There's a passage of scripture I've been familiar with most of my life that has recently taken on a graphic new meaning to me. Because, in a very real way, it's about manure. I know this is a strange subject for a Christian discussion, but tell that to the Apostle Paul. He's the one who used the analogy.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Nuzzles And Nips - #4125
Apparently, little horses need both - nuzzles and nips. So do little people. And sadly, too many parents are giving a lot of one to their child and not much of the other. Some give the nuzzles, but not the nips. Some are giving a lot of nips, but not many nuzzles. Even horses know that young ones need both.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Everybody's Victory - #4127
Rescues are usually like that. Oh, one person or a few people may actually bring the person out, but that's because of a much larger group of people who are behind them in many ways. And nowhere is that more true than in the spiritual rescue of people who are trapped and dying in the pit that the Bible calls sin. But all too often, the people who are supporting the rescuers have little or no sense of how vital they are; how many would be lost without what they do, how much each rescue is their victory, too.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Pace Car In Every Race - #4147
Now our word for today from the Word of God goes back to the dawn of all human relationships and the birth of the family, and it reveals who God considers the pace car in life's races. Genesis 3:6 - "When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." Here, in this awful moment, sin and death enter the world as Adam and Eve trespass the clear boundaries of God.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Olympic Courage - #8072
It could be that the race Jesus has given you to run for Him has gotten really hard and really painful.
