The Most Important Question About the Road You're On - #6043
The only way to get to heaven is to be totally depending on Jesus Christ to get you there. It means abandoning all other hopes of getting to God and to heaven and fully trusting the one way God provided - Jesus, His one and only Son. If you've never reached out to Him and given yourself to Him, you're in grave spiritual danger, no matter how sincere you may be in whatever else you're depending on.

The Open Door at the Manger - #5989
The people who miss Jesus and miss heaven are the people who think they've got it all together, who are quite religious and quite good and not really in need of the Savior who died on the cross for their sins. But just like He did for those shepherds, whether you were born in church or never been in church in your life, Jesus is throwing open the door to His family and to His heaven and saying, "Come on in. I died and I rose again so you and I can be together forever."

Everything But a Captain - #5971
All these years our life has been a flight that doesn't go anywhere because we're missing our Captain - the God we were made by; the God we were made for. We've been trying to be our own captain, running a life that our Creator was supposed to run. So we're alienated from the only One who knows why we're here, the only One who can make it all make sense.

Daisy Chains - #5965
Sadly, too many of us are in that group sitting in the grass, doing nothing about those around us who are moving steadily toward an awful eternity. We're real busy making our daisy chains. Listen to God's warning in Amos 6:1, our word for today from the Word of God. "Woe to you who are complacent in Zion." Complacent in God's place; going to heaven but not caring much about those who aren't - making daisy chains.

The Trouble With Life's Great Catches - #5950
We have tried to fill a God-sized hole with things and people that can't begin to take His place. If we live like this, we'll live without peace and without meaning. If we die like this, we'll spend eternity without God and His love. He didn't leave us separated from Him. He pursued us. He sent His Son, Jesus, to sacrifice His life for yours and mine; to take the rap for all our sin, that defiant self-rule of our lives.

How to Be Sure You'll Make it Home - #5941
Beginning this day, you can know beyond any shadow of a doubt that you are going to heaven when you die because you've put yourself in the hands of the only One who can take you there. And whenever your last day on earth is, you'll just be going home.

A Cup of Rice - or a Bag of Gold - #5932
When God's Son, the Prince of Heaven, is hanging on that blood-stained cross, He is totally impoverishing Himself so you can have God's love, and God's resources, and God's heaven. It's hard for us to see that we're the beggar, but the Bible says we are spiritually bankrupt because our running of our own life has cut us off from our Creator. Only Jesus can bring us back.

Disappointment Mountain - #2282
The Bible says God has planted eternity in your heart. You are built to live for eternal things. Would you let Jesus challenge your daily value system? Would you let Him loosen your grip on all you have accumulated? Would you let Him evaluate your dreams in the light of eternity? Would you let Him change what you're aiming your efforts at?

Getting Rid of the Wall - #3519
These "sins" that have cut us off from God are the countless times that we have done it our way instead of God's way. The tragedy of the wall is that the only One who has the love we need to fill the hole in our heart is on the other side of that wall. It's no wonder you're so lonely so often.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - The Most Expensive Mistake - #8291 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
NFL player Marquis Cooper was one of four men who set out for a fishing trip off the Gulf Coast of Florida. When they hit rough seas, their boat capsized, and Cooper and a friend never made it back. Sadly, the Coast Guard never received a distress signal from Cooper’s fishing boat. But here’s the sad footnote to the tragedy. Two days before that fatal trip, a friend had urged Cooper to buy a life-saving device that self-activates radio signals when a boat flips over, but he never got what could have saved his life.
