The Bread for Tomorrow - #5955
Maybe you've been let down by others in the past, and maybe you're often anxious about whether you'll have what you need and you'll have it when you need it. With God as your Heavenly Father, with you as His child purchased with the life of His Son, that's unnecessary worry. And in a sense, it's an insult to the God you belong to. You are living with the greatest security in the world. You are living from hand to mouth. From His hand to your mouth, and what you need for tomorrow is as good as already in your hand.

How to Know Where You're Going When You Can't See - #5942
Through His forever-trustworthy words, God will keep for you His promise for the days when you can't see where you're going. You can stake everything on this promise: Isaiah 42:16 - "I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them."

A Cup of Rice - or a Bag of Gold - #5932
When God's Son, the Prince of Heaven, is hanging on that blood-stained cross, He is totally impoverishing Himself so you can have God's love, and God's resources, and God's heaven. It's hard for us to see that we're the beggar, but the Bible says we are spiritually bankrupt because our running of our own life has cut us off from our Creator. Only Jesus can bring us back.

God is not a man - a Christian perspective
Whenever we're tempted to doubt God's credibility or faithfulness, consider that He isn't human--and thus doesn't have any of the weaknesses that plague humans. Unlike humans, He is utterly faithful and dependable, and will never let us down.

One Life-or-Death Moment - #5923
You can be sure if there was any other way that we could be forgiven, any other way we could go to heaven, God would have never had His Son go through what He did on that cross. But all the goodness, all the spirituality, all the religion in the world cannot pay our death penalty. Somebody has to die and somebody did. You and I did the sinning, but Jesus did the dying. He is your only hope, and He's offering you a chance to reach out and grab Him as your Savior today.

God's faithfulness - a Christian perspective
God exhibits perfect faithfulness: anything He promises to do, He does. His track record is clear throughout the centuries, going all the way back to the moment of creation.

He is faithful - a Christian perspective
God has promised to forgive us when we come to him in repentance. Because He is a faithful God and true to His word, we need not ever doubt that He will hold to that promise when we seek forgiveness.

One Velcro Friend - #5911
Our sins are very serious business, and they carry a death penalty which Jesus paid for you. I don't know if you've had a lot of relationships, and you hoped each one would be the ultimate harbor for your heart, and it wasn't. Jesus is life's only safe harbor, and you need to be in the safety of His love.

How to Open a Closed Door - #5904
Somewhere in your life there seems to be a closed door standing between you and something God wants you to do. You've been waiting for God to do something. Well, He's been waiting for you to do something: to start walking in the direction of where you believe He wants you to go, even if there's a closed door or a flooded river in front of you. See, that's His problem. Your problem is to get moving in the direction He's leading!

Your Attitude and Your Altitude - #5896
Set your attitude by the "horizon" of God's unchanging Word, even when your feelings and your surroundings are screaming to go another way. If your attitude is right, you'll hold your course, you'll fly steady as she goes, and you will complete your mission. So choose your attitude.
