Man's Forest and Woman's Trees - #6526
It's dynamite when you put men's and women's perspectives together. A man has this objective distance - created by God for that big picture, and there's nothing wrong with that. Put that with a woman's sensitive closeness, where she says, "You've got to come and look at the smaller picture with me." Put us together; we've got the whole story.

Fighting the Right Enemy - #6486
Somebody said, "Christians are the only army on earth that form their firing squads in a circle." Maybe the devil has succeeded in getting you to start to criticize and waste ammunition on another church, or another denomination, or another Christian movement, or an organization, or on a brother or sister in Christ.

A Rescue Mission - #6484
God often uses the wandering of loved ones to actually make us re-examine our own lives. And the good news, if you're willing to mobilize all your resources, well, listen to what happened here. It says, "Abram recovered all the goods and brought back his relative." Fight for that loved one of yours with everything you've got, and God will bring them home.

What Your Wife Can't Get Enough Of - #6439
We can be delivered from that macho frustration that says, "I've got to meet all my wife's needs" and then run from the ones that we can't meet. Together, often, go to your knees and seek your Father for the things that you need. If you're a husband, let your wife live in the secure knowledge that you speak her name often in the Throne Room of Almighty God. She's hungry for your prayer on her behalf, and she can't get enough of it.

Immune to the Warnings - #6411
You may have never out-and-out rejected Jesus, and you wouldn't. But if you've never out-and-out given yourself to Jesus, you are as lost as someone who's never heard the warning siren of the Gospel. In a tornado, the one who never heard the warning and the one who just ignored it will suffer the same fate.

The Greatest Enemy of the Best - #6396
We all have a hard time waiting for God to deliver what He promised. So we try to help Him. So, what's the greatest enemy of God's best? Impatience. We are the microwave generation. We get 30-second solutions to every problem in commercials. We like fast food. We want God's provision, but we want it now.

Turn Around, Don't Drown - #6365
Are you driving very close to the edge of the flood...flirting with those famous last words, "I can handle it"? No, you can't. Listen to these words from Genesis. Take it, if necessary, as a personal warning, "Sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it" (Genesis 4:7). Turn around. Don't drown. Please.

A Parent's Hardest Job - #6338
We're assigned to nudge our children slowly but surely toward the gate. The gate's called personal responsibility. And if we do it well, they'll one day rise up and call us blessed. We just don't dare need them too much for our own identity. See, we're supposed to be getting them ready to leave. And that's a parent's hardest responsibility, but it's also one of our most important jobs.

Hesitating on the Tightrope - #6335
Maybe you can't see the ram that God has ready. But God will provide. What you need to finish your faith walk will be there when you need it. You have His word on it. So keep walking, and don't even think about falling.

The Most Powerful Place on Earth - #6336
Listen! With those you're concerned about, focus the great lasers of heaven on someone or something you care about. Then relax. Relax! Learn to be the man or woman who stands in the middle between God and the people you love. And you will experience this incredible peace that there is when you are standing in the most powerful place on earth.

“[Love for Enemies] “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
- Matthew 5:43-45
