Zebedee in the Bible - a Christian perspective
James and John, two brothers and the sons of Zebedee, didn't hesitate even for a moment when Jesus called out to them to become his disciples. They left their father and his boat and followed after Jesus.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Useful For the Big Jobs - #8289 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
My friend Rick was driving to work one morning, praying that God would show him and his wife how He wanted to use them. He’s in the building trades and God answered his prayer by placing in his mind the image of a crescent wrench. Now, a crescent wrench is designed to be multi-purpose; you can adjust it for the job that needs to be done, and it has tough gripper jaws that dig in. And God was actually telling my friends that He would use them if they were like that wrench–adjustable, adaptable, but digging in wherever He puts them. It might be something in that wrench for you and me.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Unexplainable Peace - #8284 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
It was a competition for young painters, and the theme was “Peace.” First prize was for the painting that best portrayed peace. The favorite: well that was a painting that showed a peaceful pasture under a rich blue sky, sheep grazing by the pond and a farm boy fishing. Well, that painting came in second. At first glance, the winning painting seemed to be like a strange choice: rugged cliffs, a foreboding dark sky, a violent storm and a turbulent ocean. But you needed to look again, because halfway up, a mother bird in her nest was there with her little baby birds nestled under her wings, sleeping peacefully.

Why Customers Aren't Coming - #2826
Question - how can there be so many Christians and so few lost people coming to Christ - or even coming to church or Christian meetings? Could it be that the customers aren't coming for the same reason they weren't coming to Wall Drug Store in those early years. We're selling our product - the good news of Jesus. But they drive right on by. They don't care about sin, so they don't care about what Jesus did for sin.

The MIAs - #2714
Most of us are so busy in our personal rat race - and sometimes so comfy in our Christian cocoon - that we do forget the ones who aren't home yet. But listen to the heart of Jesus - He's aching for those who are still out there lost. How much do the MIAs bother you?

The Cure that Can Kill You - #2712
Our hearts are incurably spiritual. We need a spiritual answer, and we know it. We are looking for something bigger than ourselves, something that can give us significance, that can conquer the darkness inside of us, that can take us to something better someday. Ultimately, we are looking for a Savior who can make us what we could never be otherwise and take us to a heaven we could never go to any other way.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Missing What Matters - #8265 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
It took me a while to admit it, but my arms were no longer long enough for me to read what was in my hand. Yeah, in other words, I needed glasses. You see, I’m farsighted. I see what’s far but not what’s close. Spiritually, I–and most of my fellow Christians–have to battle the opposite vision problem.

The Verdict and the Penalty Are Already In - #5917
There's one verdict, and one sentence we don't have to wait for - yours and mine. The verdict and the penalty are already in. Not from a jury, but from the Judge. The Judge we must all face - God Himself. Deep down inside, we know that on the other side of our last heartbeat, which He decides by the way, we'll face our Creator. The Bible gives us a sobering warning about that: "Prepare to meet your God."

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Two Words That Decide Everything - #8246 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
It’s amazing how two words can change everything. I said, “I do”…my life was never the same. How about the two words, “You’re fired.” Or those nice words, “You’re hired.” There’s so much power in two little words; especially when it comes to our eternal future.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Why Death Is Not Scary Anymore - #8245 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
Well, as sad as that parting was, we all could be encouraged by one fact, and it made all the difference. This wasn’t the end of our being together, it was just an interruption. ... I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and did you know that’s how Easter changed death forever.
