Weather in the Bible - a Christian perspective
The religious leaders asked God to show them a sign from heaven. Jesus responded that while they can interpret the weather based on the signs in the sky, they are blind to interpreting the signs of the times. He said that they are wicked to ask for a sign, but the only sign given to them will be the sign of Jonah.

The Weather Channel's Executive Producer - #5812
So when we're watching the weather on TV, we're watching the hand of God. He's making weather that will accomplish His purposes, to change plans, to direct our lives, to get people's attention, to chastise where necessary, sometimes to call people home, to protect us from making mistakes.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
