Devotional : Obsessed with Distraction

We live in an amazing technological age. From anywhere and at anytime, I can read the news, watch a movie and check my email. We're more entertained, informed and productive than we have ever been. But what effect is this having on our relationship with God?

I was greatly encouraged by this article. It is so easy to use technology to fill in the gaps between activities and events in our lives. This can be as simple as always turning on the car radio when driving or the TV when there is ‘nothing else’ to do. Think of how God might be able to minister to our spirits if we sat quietly and mediated on Him or spent time praying instead of listening to or watching mindless distractions. I don’t own an ipad or iphone but my son has an itouch which he is constantly attached to. I plan to share this article with my family and discuss how we can reduce the mindless distractions and look to God for his counsel.

Our Father n heaven/ Abba Daddy enjoys affection.

Every day, after gong before the Cross, during Quiet Time w/the Holy Trinity, I exchange kisses n hugs w/ my Abba Daddy/ Jesus/ Holy Spiri. He is delighted w/this daily event beyond what Words can say. He does not understand why more of His children do not do this. We are His children. We show admiration/especially kisses/hugs to our natural fathers. Why not to Him? He loved us enough to sacrifice His Only begotten Son Jesus. The Greatest Love of All.
Luv to All Sister ‘n’ Christ SAM
