I have been doing youth ministry for over 10 years. I currently have a youth that is pregnant in the group. A parent asked me one day “What are you going to do about her?” I said “Love her………just like I love your child…just like Christ loves you.” If we would spend half the time we spend judging others choices and just concentrate on our own love walk…..our own example of Christ’s love..can you imagine the transformation that would take place…starting in our own church!

Amen! Let’s love one another more like Jesus asked us to! The response was perfect. That song from 1960’s still rings true, “They will know we are Christians by our love, by our love, yes they’ll know we are Christians by our love.”

I was a teenager once, by the time I was 15 I had two babies. My family treated me like I was an out cast. My parents was married and I had 8 more brothers and sisters. I was told to give my second son away while carrying him. I was devasted by that. I was void of understanding, but as a child you have do what your parents say. I was a part of his life , but I had to fight for that right every step of the way. Today at the age of 54, I am still struggling with desires of wanting to be love and to know how love feel. I never known love from my family members. One of my adults cousins said, that I was less than a women to give my child away. I was a child myself. He was killed at the age of 18. I thought parnets was suppose to love there children and protect them from older men who preys on younger girls. But I din’t matter because they was hoping for a son, but instead they had me. Please pray for my stength in the Lord because I am sadden by the lack of love in my life.

  5. Mothers Wing says:

A friend of mine and I are starting a ministry for pregnant teens and young mothers in our area. We were both teen moms and did decide to keep our babies. There are a lot of resources out there for these girls and we just want to help them by providing support and information these girls can make informed decisions as well as be happy with those decisions. God has placed this need to teach on our hearts and who are we to say no. It is going to be hard but anything worth it will be hard. Please keep us in your prayers.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
