Back to the Bible - Making the Most of Your Christian Life
Soligloriadeo says: I have this against you and as a "sister" need to bring this to your attention. Your recent revision of your webpage has made it very difficult to access the devotionals that I read daily. While I understand that "blogs" and other newer form of electronic "communication" are more popular, I still believe that those who point us to Christ in our daily walk are doing us much better service than those who give us an opportunity to give our opinion on even the best of topics. Sincerely, Francine Smidt

Covering in the Bible - a Christian perspective
tombo says: Well, to be honest I have always been confused by this scripture. If we really are to follow it, then alot of us men and women would look different. Every picture I have ever seen of Jesus has Him with long hair. Every painting from europe or America for the past 500 years has Him as eight a baby with short hair or as a mature man with long hair. I have medium to short hair. I see a lot of women with short hair. I have seen discussions where anything beyond this general rule for both men and women, is rebellion. Long hair for men and short hair for women is a conscious decision to rebel. What use to be considered convenience due to age for example, could be viewed in light of this scripture as rebellion at any age.

Prayer Wall - XXXchurch
MusicianlyMan says: Fair question man. It is a difficult temptation to resist. But I will say this, I am in no way perfect, and cannot say I've never done this. I am 31, and in the past year I have been managing very successfuly not to submit to this temptation. I'm not saying I haven't been tempted or had the desire. But I consider it a challenge God has issued me, among others. And you know what? I feel freed! My sexual pinings and lusts are not my master any longer. They still try, and maybe one day I will fall victim to them again; but as long as I keep God in my focus, I don't think so. I had no idea how badly my sexual sins were holding me back and oppressing me. The Son has set me free, and buddy, I am free indeed. I wish I had some scripture to refer you to, but I'm actually in the middle of researching for that. I recommend you do, too. You aren't alone with your temptations, man.
