When Plaques Turn to Life Preservers - #6579
When your feelings are lying to you, when your world is upside down, grab a promise off the wall of your heart and rest all your weight on it. The promises of God are life preservers.

Eat When the Pressure's On - #6560
Is the pressure on you right now? Spend quality time in your Lord's presence, even though it may be harder than ever to do it, you've never needed it more. Feed on His resources. Download them. Partake of it. That's why He's brought you to this point. Get the resources you would never experience if the pressure didn't drive you to it.

What You Gain From What You Lose - #6199
What senses does God want to deepen through your pain? Incredible qualities like radar for the deep needs behind people's deeds. A sense of compassion, which literally means the ability to "feel with" someone. God can use your pain to cultivate a wonderful tenderness in your heart and your responses. People who have been through the valley with Jesus emerge with an amazing ability to care, to wait, and to trust God.

Always Beyond Your Reach - #6114
Celebrate everything you do have. Focus on all the good things your Father has done for you, and let Him turn praise for Him into blessed contentment for you. Because this stubborn push to always get what we don't have - well, it's for babies.

Tired of Searching, Ready to Find - #6040
The Bible reveals that our heart is searching because we're away from the God we were made for. We were created for Him, but we've lived for ourselves, thus creating an un-crossable chasm between us and the God who made us. Un-crossable except for the cross - the cross where Jesus died to pay for our rebellion against God and make a way back to Him

God of all comfort - a Christian perspective

Lifter of my head - a Christian perspective
God is described as the "lifter of my head"--the one who notices when we are sad and despairing, and gives us strength and hope so that we can hold our heads up high again.

Beautiful Things That Fall Apart - #5830
What Jesus offers is the one relationship - the one love that will totally fill the hole in your heart. It's the relationship with Him that the Bible says you were literally created for. That's why all those other beautiful things ultimately seem so hollow. But that relationship with Jesus is impossible as long as your sin stands between you and Him. No religion can take it away. Only He can because He died to pay for it. If there was any other way, He would not have paid that price.

"Mourn" in the Bible: Matthew 5:4
In the Beatitudes, Jesus preaches that the weary and broken-down are the ones who will truly experience God's blessings. Here, he singles out those who are mourning and grieving as people who will receive comfort from God.

Comforter in the Bible: John 14:1-4
God, and in particular the Holy Spirit, are sometimes given the title of Comforter. In this passage, Jesus comforts his followers with an assurance that his teachings are true and that God will provide for them, both now and in heaven.
