Pardoning Turkeys - #6538
You know, you have to accept the pardon Jesus died to give you. You can ignore it, you can postpone it. Many do. You can choose to keep running your own life. You can try to depend on your religion or your goodness. But then, you'll pay a death penalty you don't have to pay. Jesus already paid it.

Something Broken at Christmas - #6508
What a Christmas this could be. What a new beginning! Being broken can actually drive you into the loving arms of Jesus Christ where you can finally be whole.

The Message at Macy's Parade - #6489
There's only one person who even claimed to die for our sins. There's only one person who backed up that claim by walking out of His grave under His own power, because only someone who has eternal life can give it. Jesus alone paid the price so you and I wouldn't have to.

Pardoning Turkeys
Many to whom God has granted this "act of grace" called a pardon - based on the death of His Son for them - refuse to accept it. They either ignore it, postpone it, or choose to keep running their own life or depend on their religion and their goodness.

Still There After the Storm - #6468
The cross still stands, proclaiming that God still loves me when it's too dark to see His face. The cross is there, assuring me I am forgiven when the guilt and the regret are trying to drag me into their pit. The cross remains, reminding me that Jesus has beaten death when death seems to be winning. The cross stands tall, declaring "This is not the end. There is a future beyond this darkness, and I'll be there to build that future with you."

The Terminator - #6467
This tongue we've got is daily either making people feel more alive or more destroyed inside. So, hold the put-downs, swallow the sarcasm, and cushion the criticism. Remember, your tongue can be The Terminator.

Watching Him Drown - #6465
I know that Jesus jumped in to rescue me at the cost of His life. How can I, then, stay on the shore any longer and watch people I know slip away without Him; without a chance to live forever? And I am their chance.

Wimpy Death
Every funeral of a Jesus-forgiven child of God is the ultimate declaration of what a Savior He is. This "hope" isn't wishful thinking or sympathy card sentiment. It's the surest of all sure things - because it's anchored to the Man who blew death away when He walked out of His grave.

Someone Talked - #6445
We can sink people's lives with our words. World War II G.I.s were warned not to say the things they could say, because they were wanting to save lives. See, that's still an important warning and maybe it's a time for us to pray as the Holy Spirit points this out inside us, "Lord, help me to stop this tongue of mine before more hurting words come out." "The tongue has the power of life and death."

Escaping the Flood, Or Not - #6435
It's eternally important that you answer the door and let Jesus save you. The Bible cries out, "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart" (Hebrews 4:7 ).
