Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Asleep at the Wheel - #5129
Whether you realize it or not, you may very well be in the driver's seat. You certainly are responsible for the wheel if you have children, or employees, or people looking to you, or if you're in a position of responsibility or influence. And you can't afford to fall asleep at the wheel.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Running On Empty - #5139
Ironically, it's often the tasks we're trying to do for Jesus that keep us from spending time with Jesus. There's a sobering warning here - work for Jesus, as noble as it is, can pull you away from your time with Jesus. And that's when you run out of gas spiritually.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Your Crisis of Control - #5170
God's offering to direct you each day in every area of your life. And face it, He's so much smarter than we are. He can see the whole picture. He has the plans that He made you for.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - What to Do When You're Hydroplaning - #5174
You're losing control. You have to slow down to listen to your Lord for an extended, uninterrupted, unhurried period of time. Then write down what you're feeling and thinking as you listen to Him. Ask your Lord for a fresh look at the people in your life, at the pressures, and at your priorities. Ask Him to help you see the forest again; you've been overwhelmed by the trees!

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Giving From the Bottom - #5184
We have a lot of time to put into making money, watching TV, recreation, sports, but we're just too busy to give prime time to the work of the Lord. When the call comes for young men and women to offer their lives for the Lord's work, we pull our son and daughter a little closer. We say, "Here am I, send someone else's child." We give what we can afford to give, financially anyway, and we keep most of our income to spend on ourselves. Remember Jesus isn't interested in the amount of the gift, but in the amount of the sacrifice.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Setting the Temperature - #4001
Now, in your family, or in your church, where you work, with your friends - you are either a thermostat or a thermometer. A thermometer simply reflects the temperature around them. A thermostat sets the temperature. Too often, we're thermometers, aren't we? If it's hot around us, we get hot. If people are cold, we're cold. If things are stressed, we're stressed. If things are dark, we're discouraged. If things are tough, we're defeated.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Human Files - #4007
Now, all the time our kids were growing up, we had this tapestry hanging up in our room - it said, "Children learn what they live." I guess. Our recent amusing experience with our grandson was only a reminder of the truth of that. Except the results of children learning what they live often are anything but amusing. Whether you realize it or not, your child, your grandchild - any child you're around very much - is listening, recording, and sooner or later reproducing what they have experienced or witnessed with you.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Power Of Your Words - #4042
God has certainly done His part to help us understand that power. For example, in Proverbs 18:21, He says, "The tongue has the power of life and death." We can, with the things we say, make someone either feel more alive or more dead inside. And you can tell we must not realize what our words can do - or else we wouldn't shoot off our mouth so often, we wouldn't say reckless things, we wouldn't make hurtful or critical or negative comments.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Most Powerful Prayer You'll Ever Pray - #4073
Which leads us to the most powerful prayer you can pray. "Lord, I give up." It could be those three words are all that's keeping you from a supernatural answer - "I give up." You've been like that frustrated ladybug my wife watched for so long trying to climb our window. You've reached an obstacle that you just can't get over. And you've been struggling so hard to find or concoct an answer, that you've limited yourself to you getting yourself over this. You've come at it from one direction, then another, only to end up frustrated and unsuccessful every time.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - No Such Thing as Mission Impossible - #4092
That's the conclusion you reached after watching that show for a while. For them, there was no such thing as Mission Impossible. That's great fantasy stuff. It's a much greater reality when it comes to rescue missions undertaken by the One of whom the Bible says, "For with God, nothing shall be impossible." (Luke 1:37) That might be important for you to know right now - because there is a person in your life that seems beyond His reach. There is no such person.
