Salvation in the Bible: Job 33:14-30
Do we deserve salvation? Do we deserve to not be punished for our sins? The answer is most assuredly no, but why are we freely offered the grace and love that drives salvation? In Job 33, we are presented a picture of salvation. A man is about to be thrown into a pit and his ransom is paid. He sees God and praises him and then goes to tell others how close he didn't get what he deserved.

Devotional : One Answer
If we were to die today and meet Jesus at the gates of Heaven, what could we say to convince Him that we should be allowed into paradise? Could we tell Jesus that we prayed to be saved when we were young? Could we tell Jesus that we tried our best to live a good life? What kind of answer would suffice? This devotional looks at what scripture proclaims to be the one and only answer we should be prepared to offer.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Miracle on the Hudson - #8214 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
I’ve been on airplanes where we had an emergency landing, but at least we had a runway to land on. When a flock of birds disabled the engines of US Air Flight 1549 as it was taking off from New York, there was no way their powerless plane could find a runway. In what the Governor of New York called “the miracle on the Hudson”, that plane landed intact on the Hudson River. And amazingly, all 155 on board got off safely, thanks in large part, to the people who converged on that fallen plane to rescue them including men in business suits and other commuters who were heading home on commuter ferry boats. They weren’t professional rescuers, but they were where the people in danger were, and as one Fox News anchor said, “Ordinary people became first responders.”

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Shredding Memories - #8213 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
Some people relive memories on New Year's Eve; some people make memories. But this past New Year's Eve, some people actually shredded their memories. New Yorkers and tourists were invited to bring bad memories from the old year to Times Square to be shredded. Some wrote "the stock market" or "cancer" on the piece of paper they shredded. One Yankees fan destroyed a poster of New York's longtime rival, the Boston Red Sox! One lady who shredded her boyfriend's e-mail telling her he was breaking up with her said, "This is the perfect way to move on from a bad year and a bad experience."

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Your Trash Transformed - #9193 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
It’s the nicest garbage truck I’ve ever seen…it’s bright and clean and new—it’s in a recent TV commercial for a waste management company. As the truck makes its way through the gleaming streets of a big city, people watch it go by appreciatively, admiringly. It’s very realistic, of course. I love their motto though: “The waste we collect helps power over a million homes.” Now, that’s cool! Garbage recycled into power that helps a lot of lives.
