Garbage Picker Vision - #6495
Somewhere near you is an assignment with a name; someone waiting for another person to see the Peter, or the rock, in them. Stop for someone that others might be walking past or even throwing away or trashing. Pick them up and patiently build them into all they were meant to be.

You Got Mail...For Thanksgiving - #6488
We're pretty good at thinking of things we don't like about someone. But something good happens in your heart when you make yourself sit down and you start writing about that person's strengths, and their contributions to your life, to others' lives. And something good happens in their life when they get your gratitude in a letter. You are indeed building them up.

Black Friday Bargain Fever - #6490
If you start to pray that three-open prayer, I guarantee that God will answer it. You don't have to say, "Lord, if it is Your will." It is His will. "Lord, open a door." "Lord, open their heart." "Lord, open my mouth." When you ask God for open doors, then open your eyes to look for them. They'll be there, all over the place, because God really wants you to tell the people you know about His Son.

Facing the Flame - #6480
Could it be that we've gotten so busy and even so involved in accumulating blessing at our church, at our conferences, and our Bible studies that we have walked right by the people who are facing the flames? You know, we're all called to rescue them.

You Win, I Win - #6478
Be like your Master. Enable someone else to be a winner. Look at the people close to you and quit trying to beat them, or use them, or to control them. Look at them and say, "Hey, if you win, I win."

The Question That Settles the Questions - #6470
Have the courage to do what Jesus would do. What would John Wayne do? Well, that's a little shaky basis for a decision. But what would Jesus do? If that's your bottom line all day every day, you won't go wrong.

Worth the Wait - #6460
Probably there's nothing that's cost more people the perfect will of God than impatience. So, don't jump to the high-speed line. Remember that the longer line may very well lead to the better view.

Faucet Fascination - #6449
Step up to a wonderful new security, one that can peacefully accept the loss of any "faucet" in your life. Because it was only a means that God came through.

The Illusion of Winning - #6434
Am I, as one follower of Christ, sitting back and enjoying all of Zion's goodies and feeling like I'm doing something? Or am I daily entering into the battle for the lives of the people around me? Listen, we will celebrate when we get to heaven. That will be enough time. Right now it's time to reach the lost through every possible means while there's still time.

Recycling Garbage - #6433
The power of Christ is so great that it reaches even to the garbage dumps of our lives and turns trash into treasure. Like the song writer said, "All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife, but He made something beautiful of my life."
