"Father" in the Bible: Romans 8:15
Key to the Christian faith is the belief that, when we're saved by Christ, God embraces us as His children. Not slaves to be abused and bossed around; not servants who must obey or be dismissed. Rather, God gives us the privilege of calling Him our Father. Consider a father's love for his children--and how much greater is God's love for His children.

Children in the Bible: Matthew 18:2-6
Jesus tells us that welcoming a child is the same as welcoming him. To become childlike is raise your status in the Kingdom of Heaven. In fact, he teaches that the humility of a child is a prerequisite for entering the Kingdom of heaven. He also warns the crowd against causing any child to sin, saying that they would be better off drowning themselves by tying a millstone to their necks.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Parents Playing Offense - #9194 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
On a football team you’re either “O” or “D”—which means you either play offense, trying to score point, or defense, trying to keep the other team from scoring points. You can’t be all defense or offense. It takes both to win in football and in raising kids.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Fatal Family Resemblances
There can be many family resemblances, whether it's hair, height, face, or even health problems. There are some family resemblances that are less obvious and much more damaging. ... They damage our marriage, kids, close relationships, future, and our self-worth. We pick up from our parents ways of talking and acting that we didn't like in them. Suddenly we hear ourselves sounding like mom or dad and treating others as our parents did. We react, communicate, and live as they did in ways we never meant to repeat. Of course, our children will have to go through the same pain unless something changes.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Lessons That Shape Your Child's Life
Children learn what they live, for better or for worse. It's ultimately what our children live that makes them into the people they become. God doesn't give a human being any greater trust or any greater responsibility than the shaping of a person He made in His image. Our children are, as one author described them, "wet cement." What they experience with us day after day is writing things in that cement that will mark their lives long after we're gone.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - What You Bring in the Door - #5644
In many ways you set a tone when you walk in the door and you'll probably have to live with that tone for hours to come. After a stressful day it's just human nature to walk in with a pretty self-focused mind set, carrying the garbage of the day, which we then proceed to dump all over our loved ones! But, wouldn't you like to put your name in our word for today? "________ returned home to bless his or her family."

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Straight to the Throne - #4451
How many times have we sincerely promised we'd pray for someone and forgotten? And while someone's promise to pray for us may be an encouragement, it's nothing like actually hearing them pray for you, right then and there. Don't you think it's time we got over this feeling of awkwardness and timidity about praying with each other?
