Sabbath in the Bible - a Christian perspective

Sabbath in the Bible - a Christian perspective
CKV27 says: Old Testament says it is on Saturday. That is part of the Law of God. You are right about that part. But when Jesus, the Son of God, came to live and died for us He fulfilled the Law. And, He was resurrected on the third day after His crucifixion (Sunday) as your husband said. Since He fulfilled the Law already we (Christians) celebrate the Sabbath Day (Sunday) as the symbol of His Resurrection. The Ten Commandments states "To Keep the Sabbath day Holy but Jesus fuilled the Law so that's why his resurrection took place and that's a Sunday in regards to His new way because he finished the work when he died and rose again.

Andy says: Khuli, when it comes to praying in the "correct" manner, you can't do better than to follow Jesus' example in the Lord's Prayer: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=matthew%206:9-13&version=NIV : "This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'
