Goodbye, Ordinary! - #5927
Chris says: @Lopez Unfortunately, there's no magic prayer anyone can say that would remove all of those things from your life; however, that doesn't mean you have to deal with them forever! A few recommendations, hopefully others will add some more: 1. If you're not already: start reading the Bible every day. Even if it's just a verse (you have to start somewhere). 2. If you're not already: start praying every day. Even if it's just for one minute (again, you have to start somewhere). 3. Find a trustworthy friend who lives nearby you who can keep you accountable and try to talk to them once a week about the things God is calling you to change in your life. Pray for each other diligently. I'd also recommend talking to a pastor or Christian counselor about the things that you've been convicted of, they'll be able to give you much better direction than I.

How Should a Christian Respond to “Gay Marriage”? - Answers in Genesis
kneeco21 says: Ok, I have to comment here... I have always been taught that being gay is wrong and one of the many sins.As an adult, I am closer to God than I have ever been before and am learning everyday. I believe that our purpose is to let others see Christ through us...how we act, how we live, how we talk, how we treat each other, and with our attitudes. Let me ask you all, Who was it that Jesus surrounded himself with??? Was it the rich? Was it the so called perfect? Who? There was no specific class. He was kind to everyone including the prositutes and all of the other sinners. He loved them all! He said for us to treat each other as our brother and as we would want to be treated. We should not be looking down on anyone but instead we should be treating them how HE would be treating them...with love and mercy. My nephew, who has always been involved in church and is 16, just told us that he is gay. We had had an idea that he was since age 4 or 5 so it wasent shocking. He said that he had been praying for God to take it away for many, many years. (It would be far easier for him to just be straight rather than deal with this if he had a choice about what he feels.)He cant help how he feels and asked me....If it is wrong to be this way, then why has God allowed it???

Help and recovery for pastors with a porn problem - XXXchurch
Chris says: @rgrabe69 For me, it comes down to Jesus' words about lust in Matthew 20: "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%205:27-28&version=NIV Jesus seems to state here that there's more going on here than just admiring what someone is choosing to show off.
